Bali has a strong café culture built around digital nomads and health-conscious travellers. Expect IDR 60,000-100,000 for a healthy breakfast bowl, IDR 80,000-150,000 for lunch. Good quality, Instagram-worthy but not budget-friendly for multiple meals per day.

Cooking at home in a villa: IDR 150,000-400,000/week groceries

If your accommodation has a kitchen which every private pool villa does cooking even two meals per day generates significant savings. Transport: Where Bali is Still Very Cheap

Grab and Gojek

Ride-hailing is the budget traveller’s best friend in Bali. Short trips within a neighbourhood: IDR 8,000-15,000. Across town (e.g., Sanur to Seminyak): IDR 40,000-70,000. Scooter rental

IDR 70,000-100,000 per day, or IDR 600,000-900,000 per month for a monthly rental. The most economical way to get around Bali independently. An international driver’s licence or Indonesian SIM is required. Helmets are included use them. Not recommended in Canggu rush hour.

Fast boats to Nusa Islands
